The Old Cannon Brewery provides a convenient location, a short walk from the town center and cathedral. Many guests appreciate the spacious and clean rooms, some of which are specially equipped for guests with dogs. The breakfast is often described as delicious and plentiful; however, a few guests have mentioned occasional delays or issues with food service in the bar. Free parking directly outside is a definite plus for some, while others have found parking on the road somewhat restrictive.

Excellent Stay

custom breakfastdinner optionspowerful shower
Breakfast included a custom-made Brewers breakfast. This was a great start to the day. Dinner options like mushroom and Stilton mac and cheese paired with salad, and chicken and tarragon pie with mash and root vegetables were both tasty. Real ales brewed on the premises complemented the meals well. They tasted fabulous. The overhead shower delivered a powerful stream of hot water.
Street parking was the only available option, but spaces with permits filled quickly.
